The Chaleur & Restigouche is operated using a car card system developed by Dave Husman.  All the cars, engines, towns and industries have been entered in a Microsoft Access data base.  Areas, towns and industries located off the layout (staging) can also be included.  This data base allows me to choose through a menu system the industries and towns in order to print waybills.  My waybills printed on an excellent quality and are glued on 108 pound card stock.  These waybills are inserted into cards (a type of enveloppe).  Every car, engine, caboose on the railroad has its own card.  All of these cards are printed and this allows me to have great looking cards even though my hand writing isn't to good. When I add any piece of equipment on my layout, it is added to the data base and a card and waybill is then printed. I use different card colors for cars, engines and cabooses.
